Follow the 'Quick Sign up' instructions on the Tamevo main page. When you receive your sign-up success confirmation, launch your IM client and wait for Tamevo to add you as a friend. It’s that easy.

Please note: In order to enjoy Tamevo’s services you must have an MSN® Messenger or Windows® Live Messenger account. Tamevo will work with any IM chat client that supports the MSN IM network. We hope to extend our services to other IM networks in the near future.


As friendly as Tamevo is, his vocabulary is still limited. He is a quick learner, however, so expect him to become a cyber-socialite in the near future. For the time being, Tamevo can only understand and process a handful of requests.


Here is a list for now but be sure to check this space from time to time as we expect this list to grow gradually:

Call: Used to make a voice call
SMS: Used to send text messages
ASMS: Used to send anonymous text messages
Fax: Used to send faxes
Help: Lists Tamevo’s supported commands with examples
Mybalance: Used to check up on your balance status
Assign: Used to assign Speedials
Numbers: Used to check the mobile number set as default



For security reasons you cannot retrieve a forgotten password, you can however reset it. This is done by clicking on the ‘Forgot your password’ link found in the login box on the main page. Then just follow the on-screen instructions.


After signing-in, click the ‘Change Password’ button on the left hand side of the page. Then just follow the on-screen instructions.


A Speedial is a quick access nickname assigned to a contact’s mobile number. Assigning Speedials helps you call or SMS a contact faster and spares you the hassle of memorizing mobile numbers. You are allowed to assign up to 10 Speedials.


After signing-in, click the ‘My Speedials’ button on the left hand side of the page. This will take you to the Speedial management page. Click the ‘Add new Speedial’ link and then follow the on-screen instructions.

After signing-in, click the ‘My Speedials’ button on the left hand side of the page. This will take you to the Speedial management page where you will find all your assigned Speedials listed numerically. Remember, you are allowed up to 10 Speedials.


After signing-in, click the ‘My mobiles’ button on the left hand side of the page. This will take you to the mobile management page. Click the ‘Add new mobile’ link and then follow the on-screen instructions.


Calls and SMSs are sent from your default number. You can choose which mobile number to set as default from the mobile management page.


Your balance will always be visible in the blue speech bubble at the top left hand side of the page or in the login box on the bottom left hand side of the page (when not in the account pages). Remember that you must be signed in to view your balance.


To recharge you need to login and go to the Recharge store. This can be done by clicking on the Recharge store link found in the violet booth on the right hand side of the account page. Select the package you want from the store and follow the instructions.


For security reasons, Tamevo does not store your credit card details. You will be asked to enter your credit card details for every online purchase you make.


The best way to do this is to fill out the support form found on the Contact Tamevo page. You can also email your request to
support@tamevo.com


That is what's nice about Tamevo, as long as you are connected to your IM network using almost any IM client from any platform you can use our Tamevo services.

Now, in the chat session type: SMS followed by the recipient’s number followed by the message you wish to send and then hit enter on your keyboard. (eg: SMS +15555551212 How are you?)

Easy. Check the ‘My Rates’ page and check for the SMS rate to your destination from the appropriate drop-down menu.


It stands for anonymous SMS and is basically an SMS without a sender name attached. Please use responsibly!
How to use AnonySMS!


Type “ASMS +17045xxxxx” and then the message as you normal would. (eg. ASMS +17045xxxxx Hey. Can you guess who this is?)


All the SMS rates remain the same but you have to pay a small subscription fee every month to keep this service.


Open your IM chat client and start a chat session with Tamevo (you must be signed up for a Tamevo account before doing this). Now, in the chat session type: CALL followed by the recipient’s number and then hit enter on your keyboard. (eg: CALL +15555551212)


Easy. Check the ‘My Rates’ page and use the Call Rate calculator to calculate the cost of the call. You will need to enter your location and the destination you are calling from the drop-down menu provided by the rate calculator.


Type “Fax” followed by the number of the person you are faxing and then drag and drop the file you want to send. Easy.
How to use Fax-in!


We support the following file formats:
DOC (Word document)
PDF
XLS (Excel sheets)


First, you need to subscribe to the Fax-in service (which you can find under subscriptions). Follow the instructions presented to you in the Fax-in sign up to obtain a Fax-in number. Once you have your number, you can have people fax you to that number. You can receive faxes through email or via your MSN® chat window.


No, but you do need to pay a monthly subscription fee to keep your Fax-in number. The price varies depending on the country and city you want your Fax-in number from.


Go to the Fax-in preferences page. The link can be found on the main account page or on the Fax-in subscription page.


When logged in, you should see the violet Recharge booth of the right side of your pages. Just select your package and hit ‘GO’. This should take you to the purchase confirmation and payment pages. Alternatively you can click on the recharge icon in the speech bubble on the top left side of the page. This will take you to the recharge store where you can select your package of choice.


Unfortunately this service is not available for recharging wallet funds due to security reasons. Remember, it is never secure to input any payment details in chat windows


For security reasons we do not save credit card information. We are sorry for the inconvenience but better safe than sorry :)


This means that when recharging, the wallet will be checked for available funds prior to payment. If the funds in the wallet are sufficient, they will be deducted without the necessity to pay by card


If you’ve purchased a scratchcard, visit the recharge store and select the appropriate package. At the purchase confirmation page, you will be given the option to pay by scratchcard.
